TSR’s Managed backup Program

Configuration Certification - Many shops may not realize it, but their backup is likely broken. Some may find out when they run clean out or space, or even worse, when their restores fail to restore. All too often backups fail because much of their backup infrastructure is obsolete and not secured from hackers (Ransomware, etc.). TSR runs recurring Recovery Tests to ensure both RTO and RPO are being met and all data is able to be successfully restored. When issues do occur, TSR provides incident management services that includes a Root Cause Anaysis as well as any Failure Remedition effort.

Proactive Planning - Different businesses have different backup needs and preferences. How much storage, the type of storage, recovery time obectives and recovery point objectives among others requirements must all be taken into consideration when determining both the type and make of the backup solution. TSR systematically assesses your requirements, develops your backup and recovery strategies. We champion the 3-2-1 model for backup storage, keeping 3 total copies of your data on at least 2 separate storage mediums, with at least one copy stored off-site or in the cloud.

Ongoing Assessments & Optimization - The speed of backup and restores is based on many factors, including network performance, but the amount of data sent over the network for backups and restores is generally far more critical. TSR evaluates and optimizes the performance of your backup and recovery solutions leveraging deduplication technlogies to reduce the amount of data, time, and bandwidth required to both back up and restore your data. We will also establish a restore priority schedule to ensure your most critical services are the first to come back online when recovery is needed.
